Dr. Doug Jackson
Prior to accepting his current position at PROJECT C.U.R.E., Dr. Jackson was provost for Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colorado. In this capacity, he oversaw the academic, financial, operational, advancement and student life functions of the university..Douglas Jackson graduated magna cum laude from Northwest Nazarene University in 1982, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. In 1985, he earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado at Boulder, receiving the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in the study of law. Following his admission to practice as an attorney, Douglas administered the legal affairs for the international agricultural firm of CTB, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company in Milford, Indiana. In 1992, he was awarded a PhD in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and econometrics from the University of Colorado at Boulder, authoring a dissertation on leveraged buyouts and secondary public offerings. Douglas is a member of the Alpha Delta Sigma and the Beta Gamma Sigma national honor societies.In addition to his academic credentials, Dr. Jackson has experience in both the legal and business professions, working as a law clerk in Denver, a judge's clerk in Boise, Idaho, a Deputy Clerk of the District Court and an assistant to the County Court Administrator in Jefferson County, Colorado. He has researched, authored articles and consulted in the areas of finance, real estate and small business. For nearly 15 years, Dr. Jackson taught at the university level in the disciplines of finance, investments and legal issues.
Dr. Jackson is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, and the past president of the Denver Rotary Club #31. He is a director of the Institute for International Education which administers Fulbright Scholarships, and a director of Denver based Leader’s Challenge. He is a member of the National Who’s Who, Registry #57689, and a graduate of leadership program LEAD San Diego. Past service as director includes HOPE International, Christian Executive Officers, YMCA, and the Leadership Denver Association. He also holds the title of Elder Emeritus at Cherry Hills Community Church. Dr. Jackson received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Healthcare from the American Red Cross and the Civis Princeps award from Regis University. He also accepted the Colorado Ethics in Business Award on behalf of the team at PROJECT C.U.R.E. Douglas is the son of Chief Uzoma of Nkume of Nigeria, an honor bestowed on his father for PROJECT C.U.R.E.’s work in Africa.
